Water and Environment Magazines
February 2012
This edition of our W&E Magazine provides some interesting perspectives into the future of floodplain management (refer articles by Jo Tinnion on page 6 and Chris Nielsen on page 10). It also presents findings of some recent interesting BMT WBM projects, including monitoring of dredge spoil in Gladstone (refer article by Dr Darren Richardson on page 8), rehabilitation of an acid-sulfate soils hotspot (refer article by Luke Kidd on page 7) and ecosystem recovery modelling in the River Murray Lower Lakes (refer article by Rohan Hudson on page 3). Further, as a follow-up to our last edition, Lyn Leger explains how she has used her BMT photo competition winnings to donate to a worthy cause in Papua New Guinea.
