BMT WBM has long been recognised in the industry for both the development of two-dimensional flood modeling software and, more importantly, its application to assist communities in their planning for flood events. These technological advances have led to the enhancement of planning in floodplains through the improved representation and communication of flood risks. The days of numbers on plans have been replaced with high quality mapping and flood animations, which has raised awareness amongst Councils and their communities, particularly when planning for floods larger than they have experienced.
